Lisa Rubenstein
My husband and I live in Rhinebeck, having renovated an old home in the village. We have lived in Dutchess County for almost four decades and raised our two daughters here. In my 35 years as a local attorney, I have represented hundreds of people in both civil and criminal matters, with a special emphasis on the fate of children and families. I now work in the State Courts as a Court Attorney Referee and I hear many types of cases, including foreclosures and divorces, in which people are suffering traumatic life changes. I am also Staff Counsel to the New York State Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics and am President of the Stringendo Orchestra School of the Hudson Valley, a not-for-profit fostering student music education. I have a sincere commitment to the people of this community. I believe it is the role of the Courts to treat people fairly and respectfully. I pledge to bring this commitment, compassion and experience to the Town of Rhinebeck Justice Court. I ask for your vote on November 2.
